Consultation and auditions for this project began back in early 2007 - the client was very specific about the sound and appearance of the components to go in this dedicated room in his villa in Ibiza. We designed and specified a 7.1 Home Cinema system with a 3.5m wide electric drop-down screen to be concealed in a bulkhead. There were various acoustic and installation challenges thrown up by the concrete construction of the space. Once the superb PMC MB2XBDi loudspeakers and Bryston amplifiers had been selected, and the location for the system chosen, we were able to design the cable network and deliver cables to site to be installed in the walls and ceiling. The room was then decorated and we returned in late 2008 to complete Second Fix. Final Fit followed the following September, when an Anthem D2V Processor was installed and commissioned. We have also added a pair of James outdoor loudspeakers, and 2 x 60" Pioneer plasma screens as the project has evolved. The project was a great success overall, and a pleasure to work on, on both a personal and professional level.
